Changing Your Server Spawn

Learn how to replace the default spawn with your own custom build.

Remove the Old Spawn

Start by removing the old spawn from the setup by selecting the area with WorldEdit. Go to the first corner and type //pos1 and then the other corner and type //pos2. Then do //set air to remove the spawn. Then go to the spawn block with /spawn.

Paste in Your New Spawn

Make sure your new spawn has a .schematic or .schem file. Place the file in the WorldEdit/schematics/ folder in your server directory.

Load the schematic with //schem load <filename>.

Then paste in the schematic with //paste -a.

The -a flag ensures that air blocks are not pasted, preventing unwanted overwrites and making the paste a lot more efficient on the server.

Once your spawn has pasted in, you can set your new spawnpoint by navigating to it and using the following commands, one at a time:

/setspawn
/vs set
/setworldspawn

Move Holograms

It's likely any holograms in the spawn are now in the incorrect place. You can view a list of the server's holograms with /dh list. You can then move each hologram by standing where you want it to be and typing /dh movehere <hologram-name>.

Move Crates

To set new locations for the crates in your spawn, please see the Editing Crate Information guide.

Move NPCs

To move NPCs to their new correct locations, you can see the full list of NPCs with /npc list. You can then move any NPC to where you are standing with the /npc move command.

Move AFK Zone

If you have a server with an AFK zone, you'll want to re-locate that. Use the command /afkzone wand to give yourself a wand to define two new corners. After selecting the corners, type /afkzone redefine afk to set that as the new zone.
