BiscuitSMP Installation

1. Unzip your download

Find the BiscuitSMP ZIP file in your downloads from the site where you purchased it. Unzip it to access the server files.

2. Upload to your server

  • Shut down your server and connect via FTP or SFTP. Your hosting provider can help you find the connection details.
  • Back up any existing server files you want to keep, then clear the server's main directory.
  • Upload the BiscuitSMP Server Files.zip to the main directory and extract it. You can delete the ZIP after extraction.

3. Add the worlds

The spawn, AFK, and duel worlds are distributed separately from BiscuitSMP. Download the worlds archive, upload it to your server's main directory, and extract it there. The archive retains its previous filename, DonutSMP-Worlds.zip.

Check that the extracted world content is in the locations expected by the setup, including spawn, AFK, and duel worlds. Do not leave the world folders nested inside an extra ZIP directory.

4. Download a Server JAR

Use Paper for this setup. If your host has a server JAR selector, choose the required version there. Otherwise, download it below and upload the JAR to your server.

Required Minecraft version: 26.2.

Keep the Required Server Version

An older or newer server version can prevent worlds or plugins from loading. Use a different version only when a setup update explicitly supports it.

ViaVersion and ViaBackwards can allow compatible clients on other versions. They do not change the version your server must run.

5. Start the server

Start the server. The first startup may take longer while plugins create their files. Once it has started, join and confirm that the spawn and duel worlds load correctly.

Check your first start

Wait for startup to finish, check the console for disabled plugins or missing dependencies, and join with a test account. Confirm that spawn and the main player menu work before adding custom plugins or changing gameplay settings.
